Bodybuilding superstar, Chris Bumstead, who was recently featured in Full Send Podcast, opened up about a life-changing decision he had to make during his college. Bumstead didn’t have a simple life. He struggled, and worked hard to make a living. Now, he is one of the most loved bodybuilders of all time with a massive fan base is spread around the globe.

Despite achieving tremendous success in his life, Bumstead’s mother still has a complaint about him. While speaking with Brad, Kyle, and Steiny in the YouTube podcast video, the 4x Mr. Olympia reveals the decision that still irks his mother.

In the video, the podcasters and CBum talked about various things. However, as the conversation built up, Brad talked about those who pursue fitness and bodybuilding just for the sake of followers and money. Moreover, he compared it with the time got into the sport, when these options did not exist. Brad asked about how things have changed in the last decade, while Kyle followed up with, “How did you make that decision to drop out of college?”

Replying to this, Bumstead opened up about his mother’s stance on the decision. CBum replied, “I mean, it took a minute and my mom is still not happy with it, I don’t think.” He also revealed that she still asks him to pursue it, till date. He continued, “They still tell me. You know, you can go back to college and only two years left of school. I am like no alright, maybe one day.”

Further, CBum opened up about how he began bodybuilding and what led him to choose the path as his career. “I was competing almost as a hobby, but I was putting a lot of efforts into it obviously, but I was still like I need to get a career, I need to graduate school and I need to like have a future for myself,” he explained. Moreover, the champion also confessed that eventually, it became a natural progression of things when he was promoted from amateur to pro, and secured the second position in Mr. Olympia.

Although not completing college is one thing that upset his mother, following his guts and passion, possibly resulted in one of the best decisions of his life.
