In 2003, the former bodybuilder wanted to run for the position of Governor. The process wasn’t easy and brought in a lot of challenges. Talking about his apprehension before the big step, Schwarzenegger mentioned how his priorities had to shift. If he ran for office, the people of California came before his family. But his wife and children were his responsibility. He would have to walk a tightrope in order to balance both. But then came one of the main concerns – losing out on movies and therefore, losing out on earning.

Bearing that financial loss along with other downsides that came with being a government official was tough. Yet, Schwarzenegger trudged on this road knowing fully well what he was going for. He eventually ended up winning and was elected as the Governor of California.
