

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a doting father to all his children. His eldest daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, is a New York Times best-selling author. Katherine wrote her first book, ‘Rock What You’ve Got’ when she was 21. Since then, she has found success in the field of writing.

The star author also wrote a children’s book, Maverick & Me, based on her story with her foster failed dog, Maverick. While she grew up with loving parents and three siblings, the author once confessed that she often ‘felt alone’. Her first book was based on that feeling.

While Katherine may have grown up amidst a loving family, she still felt left out. The book presented the perspective of a young woman who felt singled out due to her insecurities. Katherine pointed out how the book intended to help young girls feel more empowered about themselves. The book deals with themes like body image and beauty on the inside.

Katherine has three siblings – Christina, Patrick, and Christopher Schwarzenegger. In November 2010, during the release of her book, the eldest Schwarzenegger mentioned how the book was helpful to young women. She stressed that women shouldn’t feel alone on their journey of self-love. She could relate to the struggles since she went through them too. The author exclaimed, “I want them to know they’re not alone. I felt alone.”

Despite this feeling, Katherine has always been close to her siblings. Her relationship with her younger sister, Christina is especially popular. Both sisters have a small age gap and therefore grew up almost like twins. Although their personalities clashed – Katherine was more composed and responsible while Christina was more energetic. Yet they embraced their differences and strengthened their bond.
