A protagonist who smoked cigars and fight off the antagonists while creating mayhem on screen… that’s Sylvester Stallone. In the 90s era, Sly became Hollywood’s favorite action hero not only because of his top-notch fighting prowess but also because of his signature cigar-smoking habit on the big screen. Remember The Expendables, when the actor puffed on cigar after cigar while simultaneously beating the bad guys? Well, his fascination with stogie rolls is not limited to the script’s demand. In fact, the actor loves to puff the stogies occasionally when not shooting. However, once his close friend, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s health condition didn’t convince the actor to give up on smoking.
In 2018, the 7x Mr. Olympia champion, Arnold Schwarzenegger underwent open-heart surgery for the treatment of a condition called aortic stenosis. Following Arnie’s surgery, Sly answered some of the media’s intrigue on the behalf of his friend. Though he assured the paparazzi that the bodybuilder will come even “bigger and better,” Sly joked about his and Arnie’s shared interest in cigars.

The Austrian Oak was born with a condition called aortic stenosis which makes the heart pump faster than usual. Therefore, to rectify the condition, the bodybuilder underwent his first surgery in 1997. In that operation, Arnie’s defective congenital aortic heart valve was replaced with a tissue valve. However, the artificial valve came with an expiration date of 20 years. Hence, in 2018, the bodybuilder again got rushed to the hospital for replacing the old valve.
