Consistency at the gym is something people commonly struggle with. And bodybuilding legend Flex Wheeler has often addressed the issue in the form of motivational posts and messages. The legend, who recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Arnold Classic Festival, had the honor of being called GOAT by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. But not all stars are perfect.

In an honest confession, Flex Wheeler sat down to talk about how his day didn’t have a good enough beginning. The legend might have won a prestigious award at the Arnold Sports Festival, but he still struggled from time to time. While he always taught his clients to be consistent at performing exercises, he recalled waking up with no intention of working out.

In a heart-to-heart chat, the legend confessed that even when he did hit the gym, he felt bad. His workout wasn’t up to the mark, and he called it “p**s poor”. He even addressed the problem in the caption of the video. The star deduced, “We all have different reasons why, different obstacles, but the one unifying factor is we all regret not doing something.”

Stepping into the gym, Wheeler recalled, “I went in, I was highly embarrassed…”. Yet, the reason why the former bodybuilder shared this anecdote is because of the lesson he learned.
