Actor David Harbour recently sat for a chat with Jimmy Kimmel, where he gave away significant Easter eggs from a famous Netflix series. Weaving together two fictional universes, the actor revealed how Arnold Schwarzenegger stands enshrined in the Stranger Things universe. In the final episode of the season, Hawkins police chief Jim Hopper (David) wielded a mighty sword to sway away the Demogorgon.

As the iconic scene remains embedded in the fans’ minds, there’s more easter bunny hidden. As revealed by Harbour himself, the sword used has ties to another 1980s action fantasy fiction that involved Arnold in a titular role. Ever since details were shared, Arnold’s fans, alongside his son, eagerly wait to see Arnold hold the sword again.

As David sat with Jimmy to promote his show, the actor dropped major spoilers for the fans. Speaking about the sword he used to battle the horrors of the Upside-Down, he revealed how to do justice to the scene; they decided, “We should get the sword from Conan the Barbarian.” As the prop team set out for their mission, they soon came across the original prop sword used in the famous Conan series.

Diving more details about the Atlantean sword, David added, “there are three actuals used in the Conan the Barbarian film.” He revealed that Arnold had one of the swords while he had the other. David remarks, “There could only be one bearer of the sword.” Show host Jimmy quickly chirps in to say, “Maybe you guys need to battle!” As David seems to agree with the proposal, Arnold’s stand remains unknown despite David approaching him with the same query.

However, a few days back, Arnold’s eldest son Patrick took to Twitter and wrote, “@Schwarzenegger respond”. Arnold’s response on the same is yet to come. It would be a delight for Stranger Things and Conan fans if the two characters really come together for the duel!

In 2009, Arnold took to his Twitter to say that he still owns the majestic Atlantean Sword from the Conan movie series. To date, he keeps the iconic sword preserved in his office. During the 2021 Capitol Hill riot, when Arnold recorded a special message for the country, he used the sword to deliver an impactful message. Drawing parallels from his own life, the ex-California Governor touched on various social topics to highlight the horrors of wars and the importance of democracy.

Using his prop sword, the showman directs his people to grow stronger in a democracy. Drawing a metaphor, he said, “our democracy is like the steel of this sword. The more it’s tempered, the stronger it becomes.” Showing his optimism, he wished for the people to learn collectively and emerge stronger.
