In an Instagram post, the bodybuilder highlighted one of the most debatable topics in bodybuilding – the use of PEDs. Showing off a toned yet defined structure, Scheer has stuck by his ideals of going through gradual progress for better results. Transforming into an old Greek philosopher look-alike wasn’t a quick change. Scheer began his journey in 2015 and has been at it ever since. Championing smaller long-term changes over short-term quicker changes, the bodybuilder has openly opposed the use of performance-enhancing drugs.

Scheer often talks about the importance of staying healthy and adopting a naturally sustainable lifestyle. One of his older posts even discouraged the use of pre-workout since fitness enthusiasts could find creatine in the meat they consume. Substitutions like this, he claims, helped him get better control of his body transformation.

In a post from January, Scheer put up a collage of himself and the Greek hero Hercules. The caption posed an important question, “Do you think Hercules had access to performance enhancing drugs when he posed for this sculpture?” His focus lay on how bodybuilders needed to focus on their health instead of considering drugs for short-term quick transformations.

Scheer has gained a reputation for his raw transformation and takes. Instead of seeking out easier ways in the form of steroids and SARMs, Scheer had a list of options for aspiring bodybuilders to work on. This included following a proper schedule throughout the day, getting good nutrition, ample amounts of sleep, proper hydration, and so on. Since consistency was the key to a good physique, Scheer encouraged trusting the process. And fans, who enjoyed the bodybuilder’s godly looks and glorious body hair, had all the reason to follow his lessons.
