Sylvester Stallone became his nemesis as Arnold became a celebrated action hero. And as a politician (or ex-politician,) Arnie went 1v1 against the former US President, Donald Trump.

The former politicians were constantly at each other’s throats, seldom leaving an opportunity to take a dig at each other. While the two might be engaged in what seems to be a cold war-like situation, it was not always the case. The rivalry encircling them was scorching hot, and anyone who’d come close to it would feel the heat.

Arnold Schwarzenegger VS. Donald Trump: Enmity arising from Friendship

Shocking as it may sound, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donald Trump weren’t always enemies. The duo began their relationship on friendly terms. While appearing on national TV during ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ in 2007, the former US President claimed he and Arnold were “great friends.” Schwarzenegger appeared on the same show, hosted by Trump. Their friendship was so good that Trump paid off Arnold’s re-election campaign debts from 2006.

But the fruit of friendship turned sour for the two following Trump’s announcement of his Presidential campaign. Schwarzenegger refused to join it. In return, Trump took a dig at the low ratings of the new season of Celebrity Apprentice hosted by Arnold. Schwarzenegger became the host of it after Trump left to pursue other ventures.

Schwarzenegger’s reply to Trump had his fans jumping with joy

In a greatly exaggerated claim, Trump tweeted Schwarzenegger had died. The post was later deleted but not before Schwarzenegger took notice of it. He issued a tweet in response, tagging Donald in the same. Arnold wrote, “I’m still here. Want to compare tax returns @realDonaldTrump?”
