Chris Pratt Gushes Over His “Incredible” Father-In-Law Arnold Schwarzenegger, Confessing He Always Loses to Him in Chess

Married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, Chris Pratt shares a strong bond with his father-in-law

Arnold Schwarzenegger and doesn’t hesitate to appreciate him. Recently, while making an appearance on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show, Pratt only had praises for Schwarzenegger as a father, grandfather, and father-in-law. The Guardians of The Galaxy actor also revealed how Schwarzenegger defeated him every time in chess!

Implying how he had come to know the

bodybuilding legend better in close quarters, Pratt described Schwarzenegger as a “regular guy”. Responding to Seth Meyers’s questions, Pratt also shared his honest perspective of Schwarzenegger’s experience in action films and its advantages. Giving the audience an interesting glimpse of Schwarzenegger’s life away from the limelight, Pratt also imitated the Austrian Oak’s accent which made Seth Meyers chuckle heartily.

Pratt admitted that having Schwarzenegger as a father-in-law,

“It is pretty surreal.” Further, he told Meyers, “He’s a great grandfather, great dad…good father-in-law.”

He added that Schwarzenegger had a lot of experience promoting blockbuster action movies, which was useful for him, indicating he could discuss his movie promotions with the legend. Later, praising Schwarzenegger by calling him a

Pratt narrated that he and Schwarzenegger played chess a lot but he was never able to beat the Austrian Oak in the game. “

He’s incredible. He’s really good”, Pratt expressed,  indicating his admiration for the Austrian Oak. This was not the only time the actor shared intriguing insights on his father-in-law. Once, Pratt also told Schwarzenegger’s nickname at home and recounted an interesting anecdote about Schwarzenegger in Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show.

Pratt told how Schwarzenegger’s grandkids called him

“Opa”, which is the German word for grandfather. However, this is not all. Pratt then recalled an incident after the birth of his and Katherine’s child. “When you’re part of bringing his granddaughter into the world, he comes and brings you a cigar: Let’s go out and smoke these.”, shared Pratt. Further, he complimented Schwarzenegger’s style while smoking a cigar.
