“I’m Your Only Son-in-Law”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Embarrassed Chris Pratt in Front of Live Audience by Making a Huge Blunder in 2021

Arnold Schwarzenegger conquered bodybuilding in the 70s. The “Austrian Oak” won the Mr. Olympia title seven times and then made his way into Hollywood. 1982’s “Conan the Barbarian” and then 1984’s “Terminator” shot Arnold into superstardom. With every subsequent film, Arnie’s popularity rose, and he became the leading action star of the 80s.

After his stint as the Governor of California, Arnold returned to acting. Decades after his action hero days, Arnold’s eldest daughter, Katherine, married Chris Pratt. Pratt ranks among the most popular leading men in Hollywood today. Pratt is also one of the four most popular actors with the first name ‘Chris’. In 2021, Pratt’s Instagram live featured Arnold, where he unexpectedly made a massive blunder.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and a curious case of mistaken identity

In early 2021, Chris Pratt went live on Instagram to support Greater Good Charities. Pratt worked with Greater Good on many projects, and his telethon featured many prominent guests. Among those guests was the seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger. Before Arnold joined in, Pratt gave a heartfelt and humorous introduction.

“Our next guest is, hold on. He is Mr. Universe, he’s the terminator, he’s the former governor of California, he’s my father-in-law, my daughter’s grandfather. In a word, I better not screw this up or I will be terminated.” said Chris. When Arnold finally joined the live session, Pratt said, “There he is, Arnold!”

However, the first words out of the “Terminator” star’s mouth were, “Hello! Chirs… Evans.” Pratt’s reaction was halfway between laughter and astonishment. “Oh, you’re not Chris Evans, sorry.”, said Arnold next. However, the embarrassment for Pratt didn’t stop there.

Arnie said Chris was his favorite son-in-law, which would be a compliment. However, Chris said, “I’m your only son-in-law! I better be your favorite.” Not only did Arnold call Pratt – Chris Evans, but he also sarcastically forgot that among his children, Katherine is the only one who is married. 

Who’s the best Chris?

While there are many actors named Chris, none are more popular than the four leading men of Hollywood. Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Chris Pine. Their respective fan groups have long been at war to determine the most popular “Hollywood Chris”. Evans, Pratt, and Hemsworth are all part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and have shared time on screen in Avengers: Endgame.

However, Chris Pine is part of the Star Trek universe and plays the role of James T. Kirk. In the MCU, Evans played the now iconic role of Captain America. However, Hemsworth’s Thor and Pratt’s Star-Lord are still part of the universe.
