Flex took to Twitter to share a list of foods that help a bodybuilder build muscles. The bodybuilder has often provided his opinion on various aspects of bodybuilding. Being an IFBB Professional and a four-time Arnold Classic winner, the legend has garnered enough expertise to help guide newbie bodybuilders.

Flex Wheeler gives a list of foods that build muscle

In a video posted on his Twitter account, Flex provided a bunch of food items that he thought helped build muscle. The first food that came to his mind was red meat in steaks. The bodybuilder cited examples of how the bodies of cows and bulls looked compared to a chicken or a fish. He stresses the importance of red meat for building muscles. He claimed, “those big, healthy building blocks, those high in aminos and kre-alkaline well creatine would be your red meats.”

Apart from red meat, Flex also recommended fish, chicken, turkey, spuds, potatoes, and rice. Additionally, he stressed the importance of greens and vegetables that one must include in their diet. He also mentioned that fish helps lean. However, he explained the intricacies of a good diet. A nutrient-rich diet is beneficial only when it’s maintained consistently.

According to Flex, the amount of food each time doesn’t matter. What matters is how often and how consistently one eats. The icon recommends eating every two to three hours to keep the body going. Consistency plays a huge role in developing your body. He revealed that when he trained to become a bodybuilder, he would also eat during similar intervals to build muscles. Flex sums it up with advice to keep the diet simple and consistent.
