A year ago, Bumstead recorded a video with his family that includes his girlfriend, sister, and his brother-in-law. However, they answered several questions asked by their fans, one question stood out. Even the brother and sister burst laughing many times, answering the childhood incident. What was the incident?

Chris Bumstead tried to kill his sister?

Bumstead is a Canadian bodybuilder. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Although he is very reserved about his family, we only have clear information about his sister. Melissa Valliere, Chris’ sister, and her husband both are also professional bodybuilders. In the video uploaded by Bumstead on his YouTube channel, they revealed one of their childhood fights. 

One of the fans questioned, “Melissa, did you ever beat Chris growing up?” However, Melissa was not sure. Meantime, Bumstead said, “You threw me down the stairs.” Moreover, Courtney asked a follow-up question, “Did you guys fight?”

Melissa replied, “He chased me around with the knife once.” Chris intervened and said, “I remember the story, but I don’t remember how it happened.” She added, “Like literally just like being like he was revved up because I was scared like he had a fu**ing like you know those kitchen knives that are that thick.”

Chris Bumstead’s opinion on open bodybuilding

Recently, it is observed that people are getting more attracted to classic physique competitions than open bodybuilding. When asked about this shift, Chris opened up about his opinion on the matter. However, he is himself a classic physique competitor and winner. He thinks it might be the physiques of the current bodybuilders that make the difference.

He said“I think the reason they are switching down is because they have the chance to look like their childhood heroes rather than the new people on top now. Which are just absolute math monster which doesn’t appeal to such a large crowd.”

Brother and sister often fight in their childhood. That’s exactly how Chris and Melissa used to live. They fought, some silly ones and some dangerous ones like the above-mentioned incident. Eventually, they make a great pair of siblings. They have a great bond that also extends to bodybuilding, as they are both in the same profession.
