Car Fanatic Arnold Schwarzenegger Paid $1 Million to Customize His Mercedes G-Wagen in 2016: “I Want to Prove to the World”

Starting from a humble background, Arnold Schwarzenegger drove his way to success. From pursuing a career people knew hardly about to joining the army, winning the prestigious Mr. Olympia title 7 times to dominating Hollywood, Arnie has come a long way. Thus, when Arnold got the chance to make key changes to his car for a green future, he did not back off. First of its kind, ‘Kreisel,’ the Australian company, replaced Arnold’s ‘Mercedes G-Wagen’ factory engine with an electric one. In the CNBC show “Jay Leno’s Garage,” Arnold brought his modified 2016 model G-Wagen to represent his vision of a cleaner and greener future.

Speaking about his vision, he quotes, “I want to prove to the world that it is not the car that is [pollutive].” He continues, “it is the technology under the hood that is the polluter.” The ex-Governor was so happy with the results that he even sent one of the Hummers to ‘Kreisel’ to install an electric engine.

Arnold Schwarzenegger: The Active Environmentalist

Motivated toward a clean and green future Arnold’s passion for preserving nature is not hidden. Even before replacing the regular engine with the electric motor, he made other fundamental changes.

As an active environmentalist, he had already transformed his car so that they run on bio-diesel. For the unversed, Arnie’s passion for protecting the environment also drove him to join politics. Proud of his decision, the actor gestures toward his G-Wagen and calls, “this is the best.”
