Throughout his career, the legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger has inspired millions. He has demonstrated that he is the best at what he does. He had great success in acting and bodybuilding before finding success in politics. Arnold presided as California’s 38th governor.

There was a time when Schwarzenegger offered a trip to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.The former governor of California and the former President of Russia shared a series of tweets regarding the same.

Invitation to Russia’s President from Arnold Schwarzenegger

During his final days in office as California’s Governor, the President shared his best wishes for him on Twitter. However, that further led to a joking conversation thread about a skiing trip. The tweet of the President reads, “There are many more interesting opportunities still to come.”

Meanwhile, replying to him, Arnold, who was 63 years old then, wrote, “I hope you’re having a great new year and can’t wait to see you again – maybe skiing?” Replying to his offer, the President wrote, “Thanks. We agreed – I remember. We’ll definitely find the time.” The series of tweets between Schwarzenegger and the President attracted much attention. Before this, Arnold visited Silicon Valley and met the President there. During his visit, they were also photographed pumping iron in the gym.

Both have a long history of friendship. Once, they got captured in Skolkovo while the President gave Arnold a ride to his house. Arnold clearly has created good relationships wherever he has gone. However, the responsibility of being a governor weighed heavily on his shoulder.

His bonding with family during Governor’s tenure

Taking too many work responsibilities can make a man sacrifice his family life. Arnold did something similar; after his retirement, he revealed the information. He mentioned how he had to leave home on Monday morning and return at the end of the week. He said, “What was much worse was the damage my time as governor did to the family.”

The bodybuilder added, “There is a lot there that needs to be repaired. We hate your job. It was heartbreaking every time. In my second term of office, I did better. I tried to fly home every evening.” In addition to family issues, being the governor also cost him $200 million.
