Every time Arnold Schwarzenegger took on a new challenge, he made an enormous effort to excel in it. No wonder the 75-year-old multi-talented phenom is still making waves with his trend-setting style and swag. With humble origins, he made wise decisions to scale his career in all directions. While several movies have made the former bodybuilding champion a star, it is “The Terminator” movie that gave him his biggest break.

The Terminator, a 1984 sci-fiction movie directed by James Cameron, came as a game-changer. It topped the box office for two weeks. Eventually, the movie made more than ten times its budget,  grossing $78.3 million. The movie defined Schwarzenegger strongly as a lead actor who could shoulder an entire movie. Recently, a picture clicked during the 1991 “Terminator 2: Judgement Day” with the Guns N’ Roses band resurfaced on the internet, reiterating the impact the franchise has made.

‘You Could Be Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses as Terminator 2 theme music

Arnold set the stage on fire with his action sequences in the Terminator movie, which eventually made several sequels, a television series, comic books, novels, and video games. Guns N’ Roses is a popular hard rock band from Los Angeles featuring Slash, Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Steven Adler. The tweet featured Arnold with Slash and Axl. Fans went nostalgic seeing the post.

Entertaining since 1985, they have the credit of composing blockbuster music for movies as well. Their most popular track, “You Could Be Mine” was used as the theme for “Terminator 2: Judgement Day.” The 6-minute song is a high-spirited number, fits the emotion appropriately, and is undoubtedly a huge plus to the movie.

The video single features Arnold in his Terminator role. In the end, when the musicians leave the club, he scans each one of them and labelled Axl as a “waste of ammo.” He then walks away without causing any harm. “California 1980’s in 1 Picture!”  While few fans recounted the memories of the Terminator, few took a dig at the picture saying “Arnold you’re pointing the shotgun at Axl’s face!”

Their collaboration for Terminator 2 was a great success. There were rumors that the band came together again to write a song for the sixth movie in the franchise, Terminator Dark Fate. In 2019, it was speculated that the band went in for a private screening of a rough copy of the upcoming sequel movie to consider the possibility of adding a song to the soundtrack.

With no concrete information about the news, fans shared their hopes of witnessing another rocking number on social media. Besides, Arnold decked in a Guns N’ Roses t-shirt, leaving people anticipating the comeback.
