Dexter Jackson, Branch Warren, and Phil Heath were among the favorites, but Cutler made an epic comeback. With just one move, Cutler showed judges and bodybuilding fans the improvements he made in one year. Even today, fans are in awe of Cutler’s iconic quad stomp.

Jay Cutler became the only bodybuilder to avenge a loss at the Mr. Olympia contest. After placing second to Ronnie Coleman for four years in a row, Cutler finally won the Mr. Olympia title in 2006. Many believed the underdog’s era had begun. After winning the title twice, Cutler lost against Dexter Jackson in 2008. However, the former champion was determined to win back his title.

The move that etched his name in bodybuilding history

In December 2022, a video of Mr. Olympia’s iconic quad stomp resurfaced on Instagram. The video shows the former champion showing off his quads before hitting the abdominals and legs pose. With the stomp, Cutler revealed every fiber of his quadriceps muscles. While striking the pose, the former champion stood beside the man who dethroned him, Dexter Jackson.

Fans compared Jay Cutler to the Hulk

Cutler etched his name in bodybuilding history with the iconic quad stomp. Even today, bodybuilding fans can’t help but get awestruck when they see the move. In the resurfaced video, fans compared Cutler to the incredible Hulk. “Bro tells Hulk to shut up,” wrote a fan. Another thought Cutler was the Hulk. “Hulk is real?” he asked.

Others drew attention to the muscle fibers in Cutler’s quads. “You could study the muscles of that,” wrote a fan. While one wrote, “It looks like a trophy,” another fan commented, “Bro even shocked himself.”

Many people still think it’s the best bodybuilding pose. “The bodybuilding pose of poses. Nothing comes close. Nothing.” One fan commented. “GOATed pose,” commented another. “Best move ever.” A third fan said.

However, few tried to discredit Cutler’s hard work in the gym. “Look, look what steroids can do,” commented one user.
