Tom Thorman was no longer a scrawny toddler

The athlete recalls how he used to only weigh 154 lbs when he was called a ‘scrawny tiddler’ by his parent. As a young boy, Thorman wanted to pursue his passion for football. He stated, “I was tall but I was lanky. I didn’t have any muscle or frame and I didn’t like the way I looked.”

Tom trained with First Touch when he was 15. He used to play with Whitstable Town FC when he once had the opportunity to play a match against Newcastle. But he was rejected from the team because of his physique and for not being strong enough. Determined to make a change, he joined the gym and started bulking up. Tom added, “I didn’t like to take my top off and I was low in confidence – so that was one of the main reasons I joined the gym for a bit of confidence in myself.”

Today, the bodybuilder weighs more than 252 lbs and consumes nearly 7000 calories every day. On November 5, Tom won the overall champion category at the PureElite exhibition that was held at High Wycombe, taking away a trophy and a whopping £1000 prize money.

Thorman sticks to a strict diet. His ripped body exists thanks to his grueling diet and training routine. He completes 12000 steps in a day apart from his usual cardio and strength training. After waking up at 6:30 am, he takes his dog out for a 30-minute walk. Following this, he spends 30 more minutes on the treadmill. “Then I have my first meal of the day at 10 am, which is oatmeal, protein powder, almonds, and strawberries, and for my second meal at 12:30 pm I have white potatoes, chicken, and vegetables,” said Thorman.

Furthermore, he added, “Just before I go to the gym at 2:30 p.m. to do two hours of weight training, I have my third meal which is rice, chicken, and vegetables.” His fourth meal is Coco Pops, strawberries, and Protein powder, which he consumes post-training. In addition, his last meal at 8 pm is similar to his first meal of the day.
