Sylvester Stallone’s legendary movie franchise, Rocky, definitely acted as fuel for many. The hard work and determination of ‘Rocky Balboa,’ the main protagonist in the movie, motivated a legion of fans, especially in the boxing as well as the fitness world. Famous fitness YouTuber Noel Deyzel recently shared a video on his channel where he disclosed that Rocky acted as an inspiration to him to make a certain change in his lifestyle.

After watching the movie, Deyzel started implementing a small change in his diet that he observed in the movie, and soon enough, it became an ‘essential’ in his life.

Along with his mainstream fitness content, Noel Deyzel is well-known in the fitness sphere for sharing lifestyle advices as well. He is one of the most honest and transparent creators, being completely honest about his PEDs usage, and busting myths about the fitness industry.

In a recent video, he disclosed that making multiple changes in your lifestyle overnight to achieve your physique goals can be overwhelming. In order to sustain a lifestyle change, he suggested making a small change first, getting used to it, then implementing another small change. 

Noel revealed that during his initial years, he had no knowledge about nutrition. However, after watching the iconic instance in Rocky, in which Balboa gulped 6 raw eggs, he added eggs to his diet and saw a significant change in his physique.

“Rocky was drinking eggs, so what did skinny me do? I ate eggs every day for four meals a day.” Explaining further, he added, “But little did I know that making that simple change of eating more protein would lead me to the life I’m living today. So if you struggle to stick to a diet, make just one change. And when you’re ready, add another.”

The whole franchise of the Rocky movie surely made a special place in the hearts of fans. But the movie that is often thought of as a classic boxing movie is actually “not a sports film” according to Sylvester Stallone himself.

During an interview with his daughters, Sylvester Stallone revealed that it’s not a boxing movie. It is simply about a street fighter who has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The intention behind the character was to make him extremely relatable to the audience which the makers of the film absolutely succeeded in. The ‘egg scene’ discussed earlier is also a depiction of the hardships and devotion of a fighter towards his goal. It portrays the toughness of the character.

It’s not a sports film. Rocky is a love story about a guy who’s a broken-down fighter. That’s all it is, but boxing. I realize people are obsessed with two things in life: racing and boxing,” he said. Adding to this, Stallone revealed, “And I thought, okay, what’s the other thing that everyone relates to symbolically? Fighting.
