How Ronnie Coleman got that shine

Bodybuilding not only includes intensive workouts but also presentation and aesthetics. This means that before the contest, bodybuilders have to take special steps in order to look their best. Ronnie Coleman revealed what went on behind the scenes before the contestants got up on stage. The contest called for participants to prepare their bodies in various ways, including oiling, tanning, and even shaving.

Bodybuilders are famous for their shiny, bronzed looks on stage. When asked where that came from, Ronnie revealed that it was a high-tech body lotion. This gave them a sleek, shiny look that bodybuilders are famous for. Getting that shine is extremely important as it helps define the muscles.

When asked if bodybuilders had any tips or tricks to look a bit better on stage, Ronnie revealed some of them. He mentioned a ‘carb-depleting’ diet that bodybuilders followed before contests. This involved completely cutting down on carbs before increasing carb intake, a week prior to the event. This helped increase the aerobic capacity of the body.

He also mentioned that the contestants used to shave before the contests. Just like swimmers, bodybuilders are supposed to shave their bodies for the competition. According to Ronnie, having a hairy body on stage would do no good because “you wouldn’t be able to see any cuts on your body. They’re looking for definition”.

The interview ended on a heartwarming note, with fans praising Ronnie and a detailed conversation on his career as a police officer.
