Kai Greene, the bodybuilding icon, once shared how he turned adversities into his strengths and subsequently into a successful career. He had to go through a lot and had to work extremely hard to be where he is today. He shared this in an interview back in 2017.

Kai Greene is a successful bodybuilder and has participated in many renowned bodybuilding competitions like Mr. Olympia. He finished 3rd at the 2011 Mr. Olympia followed by second place in the 2012, 2013, and 2014 Mr. Olympia. He also won Arnold Classic titles in 2009, 2010, and 2016.
Greene turned struggles into opportunities!
Greene recalled his journey of how he was confined in a place and that’s when he realized he had to do something. He said, “I remember originally being locked away in a place.” He always knew he had skills and was just a few steps away from applying those skills.

Greene was always determined to get into bodybuilding and therefore, he started working towards it. “I had a reason to apply some of these skills to be able to you know crack this nut” “That wasn’t about strength that was about an idea of identifying myself as an academic and intelligent person”
According to him, he went on to do pushups till the facility where he was working out got worried that he was on a suicide mission.

Greene has not competed in any professional bodybuilding competitions since 2016. However, he is doing everything to maintain his fitness. He also appears in films now and has played many different roles right from films to Netflix series.

His struggles are a source of inspiration for many of his fans. His journey from foster care and residential treatment centers to becoming a successful professional bodybuilder without much help is certainly inspirational. It would be interesting to see where his career takes him next.
