Rumors have now come to rest, as the reigning Classic Physique Olympia champion officially announced Hany Rambod as his new coach in a YouTube video on October 22. Both Chris and Hany were seen in the video together talking about their newly found partnership and rumors. They also shared a glimpse of Chris’ hardest chest day session and strategy to train him for the upcoming competition in December.

Chris Bumstead’s proposal shocked Hany Rambod initially

Hany Rambod is one of the finest bodybuilding coaches. The legend has trained some famous title-holding bodybuilders like Jeremy Buendia, Jay Cutler, Jenny Lynn, Derek Lunsford, Jeremy Buendia, and Kevin English. Phil Heath, who trained under him, is 7×Mr. Olympia champion.

Hany Rambod was indeed startled to receive Chris’ proposal for training him. Rambod revealed in the video that, in his entire career so far, he has only trained beginners, defeated bodybuilders, or builders who wanted to rectify their training process. He had never trained an existing bodybuilding champion like Chris Bumstead. Hence, being his trainer was a big responsibility, which he accepted after discussing a few things with Chris.

Why is Chris Bumstead no longer training with Iain Valliere?

Brother-in-law Chris and Iain Valliere have been together since the start of Chris’ bodybuilding career. Their partnership made the Classic Physique Champion win three Olympia titles. After seeing several highs and lows in their career, the duo has mutually decided to not train together. The sole reason behind it is that Iain wishes to focus on his bodybuilding career. He simply does not have time to train Chris at the moment.

In his latest YouTube video with Chris, Valliere expressed his decision, saying, “Look we’re both in prep for the Olympia as well and you know there’s obviously other things on our mind.” He continued, “This felt like the right time to come with it, so we want to sit down and kind of talk to you about where we’re at in our coaching relationship.”
