Almost everyone is very well familiar with the popular cartoon character ‘Popeye’. A pipe-smoking sailor-man who would consume spinach to get extra-human strength on top of his round and bulging biceps. In a rare case of life imitating art, a Russian bodybuilder, who has been branded as the ‘Russian Popeye’, has formed such bulging biceps by injecting oil directly into them. His motivation behind doing so was his belief that it would make him the most popular person in the world.

However, just like any additive to the human body, the potentially toxic oil injection has its side effects, too. And now, the bodybuilder is feeling its grave danger, as doctors have warned before. Kirill Tereshin started this bizarre trend of modifying his muscles back in 2017. Merely a 25-year-old Army veteran, Tereshin has already put his health and life in grave danger at this young age. He now claims to have a problem with his brain, which could be a severe cause to worry. Let’s delve more into it!

Kirill Tereshin started doing this with Synthol in 2017. Synthol is a substance that bodybuilders use to enhance muscle mass and get larger bulges. Tereshin was injecting it directly into his arms. It causes nerve dysfunction, tissue damage, cyst formation in muscles, and even cardiovascular issues. As per Dailystar UK, Tereshin recently said he has a “problem in his head”, after ignoring the multiple beggings of doctors to not do so.

This isn’t the first time he attempted to get his fake Superman muscles. Tereshin had his fake triceps removed earlier after facing complications and medics had requested him to do the same for his biceps. Tereshin ignored them then and is facing problems in his head now, which could affect him in unknown ways.

Surgeon Dmitri Melnikov said, “The risk of complications, in this case, is very high. But inaction will not help the patient. A toxic substance in the body long term can complicate the kidneys and lead to death”. Whereas, Tereshin couldn’t care less about these potential danger signs. His delirium has prompted him to adopt the name ‘Mister Olympia’, in a case of hyper-absurdity. Tereshin’s strength is, however, very frail and is on the precipice of a major danger.

Tereshin is oblivious to his dangers and his bizarre obsession with looking handsome

Tereshin recently lost a cage fight with a Russian personality blogger, Oleg Mongol, where one of his super-sized arms burst open. He has repeatedly ignored his well-being, and this has got everyone worried. Tereshin seems to have clearly lost sight of his healthy being, and fans have actually come to his support online and asked for his near ones to save the 25-year-old.

The signs of his instability or bizarreness were there before, and this isn’t the first instance. Tereshin previously had his cheekbones and lips enlarged after surgery. This was to give him an alien face, which he believed made him an ideally handsome man. He had said about aliens, “I know that they exist and that they are the most powerful race in the entire world. I feel like I’m going to them”.

Whether Tereshin is actually suffering from some mental illness or is this all just an obsession that got out of hand, is yet to be diagnosed. But what is imminent is his potential fatality, since his health has steadily deteriorated ever since he started it. What do you think is the best thing to do for Tereshin now and don’t you think he should’ve listened to the doctors from before? Let us know.
