Hadi Choopan started training under Jamshid Owji. Owji made him train with only 5 kg (11 lbs) because he was an underweight 13-year-old kid. However, the ambitious bo quickly started gaining muscle. Choopan placed third at a national-level bodybuilding contest just three years after starting his training. In the following contest, The Persian Wolf won for the first time in a province-wide contest. In 2005, Choopan became national champion. Following his victory, the bodybuilder stopped training with Owji and trained on his own.

However, Choopan continued to win even without a coach. The national champion won a silver medal at the WBPF World Bodybuilding Championship while training by himself. In 2013, he teamed up with Ali Ne’mati. Under Ne'mati, Choopan made a name for himself in international contests. Hadi Choopan's career really took off once he met Hany Rambod in 2017.

Under Hany Rambod, Choopan entered the 2017 Amateur Mr. Olympia and won. He then started making rapid improvements. Despite the improvements he made, visa issues prevented the bodybuilder from competing at prestigious competitions like the 2018 Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia. Thankfully, he hasn't faced any similar issues since 2019.

The 2022 Mr. Olympia became an Evogen Nutrition-sponsored athlete shortly after teaming up with Hany Rambod. The Persian Wolf follows a strict diet and supplementation protocol. The bodybuilder doesn't have too much variety in his diet. He eats brown rice, avocados, red and white meats. His supplement stack contains Whey protein isolate, BCAAs, L-carnitine, Fish Oil, and Multivitamins.

The 2022 Mr. Olympia winner doesn't like to flaunt his wealth on social media. Hence, barely any information about his material possessions is available. However, the bodybuilding icon reportedly owns four cars. Choopan owns a Hummer H2. Interestingly, seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger was the one responsible for the existence of the Hummer.
