Every year, thousands of participants worldwide gear up for the most prestigious bodybuilding competition, Mr. Olympia. Though everyone aims for the title, only a selected few can bring the title back. But sadly, for Iranian bodybuilder Behrooz Tabani, the dream for 2022, Mr. Olympia, will perhaps remain a dream. As the VISA complications for Tabani remain unsolved, fellow bodybuilder Roy Hertz lashes out at the authorities.

Even though Tabani secured his spot for the 2022 Olympia by winning the Romania Muscle Fest 2022, the last Men’s Open qualifier for this year’s Olympia, his aspiration for the biggest bodybuilding competition remains hanging by a thread. As Tabani waits for clearance, Hertz joins others to show his support.

Support for Behrooz Tabani

Earlier yesterday, a video of aspiring bodybuilder Behrooz has been doing rounds on Instagram. In the clip, 5’7″ Tabani was spotted working out hard in the gym. Flexing his ripped body, the IFBB pro champion looked more than ready for this year’s Mr. Olympia. However, because of the refusal of his visa application, his chances of competing this year stand very thin.

Calling out the official’s direct former Serbian Bodybuilder, Roy Hertz’s message was loud and clear. Expressing himself, he commented, “So sad he isn’t able to compete. Don’t punish people for their government’s actions. Outside of government, people are great all around the world!”

For those unversed, Behrooz Tabani is an aspiring bodybuilder from Iran. Valued at 5$ million, the 29-year-old bodybuilder had earlier defeated big names like Brett Wilkin and Enrico Hoffman. He is often hailed for his exceptional condition and monstrous physique.

Tabani and his VISA story so far:

The details were earlier posted on Sportsperson Milos Sarcev’s personal Instagram profile. Being hopeful, Milos wrote, “At this point, only a miracle can help my dear friend and athlete, Iranian bodybuilding superstar.” He supported Tabani and said he had rightfully earned his right to compete in the event. However, because of geopolitical tensions, his application was rejected.

Now with just a week remaining from the final event, the chances for Tabani to participate in the event are becoming more unlikely. The situation remains delicate. This is, however, not the first time that participants have faced challenges with VISA and immigration right before the tournament. However, Miloš Šarčev, Roy Hertz, and others remain optimistic for Tabani. Hopefully, paperwork complications will soon resolve.
