Ronnie Coleman found his calling through his faith.

In 2005 Ronnie Coleman was trying to win his eighth Sandow. Bodybuilding.com interviewed the then-seven-time Mr. Olympia before the contest. During the conversation, the interviewer asked Ronnie if God and the Christian faith play a crucial role in Ronnie’s life. “That’s something my mum started, from day one, as far back as I can remember. I’ve had a good Christian background,” said Coleman.

He said, “There is only one reason why I’m here and that is to serve God.” Ronnie also said that not just he, but God put everyone here with a purpose. “everybody has a purpose in life – a calling. My calling is to be Mr. Olympia.”, added the ex-cop.

The record-setting bodybuilder said everyone could live a happy life, “If we’re doing what we’re supposed to be doing by serving him (God)”. The ‘King’ didn’t have the easiest time after graduating college, and it took a while before he got into competitive bodybuilding.
