Arnold competed from the late 60s to the late 70s, whereas Coleman competed from the early 90s to 2007. The technology, equipment, and everything were class apart. However, one of the closest comparison factors could be their heaviest deadlifts in the same weight class. Although this also couldn’t tell you who was the greatest, but possibly can tell you the strength they possessed.

Which bodybuilding legend recorded a heavier deadlift?

Ronnie Coleman and Arnold Schwarzenegger are two of the most successful professional bodybuilders. Chiefly, Arnold made records and Coleman later on came and broke them. Long before surpassing Arnold’s count of Mr. Olympia’s title, Coleman broke Arnold’s record of heaviest deadlifting in an official contest.

According to the stats, Ronnie Coleman has recorded the heaviest deadlift of 725lbs in his entire career. However, that cannot be compared with Arnold as his weight class is 275lbs. Although the one lift that is recorded as Ronnie’s heaviest in the 242 lbs category is 725lbs in the year 1992.
