Chris Bumstead is the reigning Mr. Olympia Classic Physique champion. The defending champion also regularly keeps fans updated with YouTube vlogs, giving them an insight into his preparation. While fans know Bumstead is a hard worker, in his latest video Chris showed how far he is willing to go to keep the title.

In the video, Bumstead went out to dinner with his team. However, he sat and watched people eat their food, instead of having dinner.

Chris Bumstead won’t make any compromises during preparation

On October 26, the three-time Classic Physique champion uploaded a video on his channel. In the video, while discussing his plans for the day, Chris said, “Rushing to the gym, getting a workout with Eddie… and then after that we’re running to a dinner with all the ambassadors that came down.

Bumstead is working with influencers to promote his brand, RAW nutrition, and organized the first team dinner. Chris revealed that he’d be joining his friends and all the ambassadors after a leg workout. However, there was a catch.

While the group was going to Bumstead’s favorite restaurant, the three-time Classic Physique winner said, “I’m not allowed to eat any food, so probably I’m gonna sit there and watch people eat at my favorite restaurant in town.”. However, he also said, “Maybe the hunger will make me get more shredded and make me more disciplined.

The 2022 Mr. Olympia contest is just over a month away at this point. Bumstead recently said that he’d come on stage in better shape than last time. So he sat at the table with an empty plate in front of him while people around ate the food he loves, at the restaurant he loves. It seems the defending champ won’t let anything compromise his plan.

Chris Bumstead’s new coach

The 3x Mr. Olympia winner of Classic Physique recently revealed that he’d no longer be working with his long-time prep coach and brother-in-law, Ian Valerie. He’s currently working with Hadi Choopan’s coach Hany Rambod. Bumstead surprised many by changing coaches after the offseason. However, the pair are confident they can make it work. Rambod also coached seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath, but this is his first rodeo with a Classic Physique athlete.
