The recent match between Minnesota Timberwolves Vs. New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday was full of surprises. The first quarter of the match was a tumultuous one, but the Timberwolves geared up in the second half and knocked out the New Orleans Pelicans with a 113-108 win. However, the rising tension to make it to the play-ins was evident among the Timberwolves members. A video of Rudy Gobert hitting star forward Kyle Anderson during a time-out huddle surfaced on the internet and received attention from notable celebrities. 

In a recent Twitter post, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s eldest son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, responded to the viral video with a bold remark. His comment hinted at his stance on the matter and called out Gobert for his actions. Here’s what he said.

The Twitter update surfaced today and has already amassed significant recognition from fans. The 29-year-old model, evidently taking sides, wrote, “Suspend him!” The video featured the altercation displaying Gobert aggressively striking his teammate amid an ongoing discussion.

The chaos intensified after the punch as Taurean Prince bolted towards Gobert, shoving him away from Anderson. The latter momentarily charged toward Gobert while other teammates blocked him from the athlete in question. The initial argument suddenly paced up and caused the scuffle on the sidelines itself.

“Rudy Gobert punching his teammate Kyle Anderson,” the caption of the post read. Reportedly, the French pro walked back to the locker room and was also reeled out from the rest of the game, yesterday. However, Anderson continued with the crucial match. The 30-year-old athlete’s fate in the play-ins and post-season remains undetermined. The team is set to play their next match on Tuesday. Similarly, NBA sensation, Giannis Antetokounmpo, paid a hefty fine after a wild brawl last month.

During a match between the Sacramento Kings and Milwaukee Bucks, a fierce tussle broke out when the game was about to end. Kings forward Trey Lyles and Bucks center Brook Lopez were penalized for their actions. However, the ordeal began with Lyles pushing Giannis during the fourth quarter. Hence, Lopez took the stand for his teammate and got involved.

Lyles was pulled out from their next game with the Chicago Bulls whereas a fine of $25,000 was thrown at Lopez. Surprisingly, Giannis vouched to pay for his teammate and buddy, Lopez’s fine. “Definitely going to pay for his tech, I’m gonna…what you call it, the reimbursement? I already told them. I just appreciate people having my back,” the star athlete told sources.
