Arnold Schwarzenegger Once Narrated a Hilarious Watch Auction Story Where He Raised 1.5 Million for a Noble Cause

Arnold Schwarzenegger and stardom have journeyed together ever since the days of his bodybuilding career. Even before the Governator took office as a policy maker, he made a sincere effort to support inner-city children to have access to basic education, computer training, and physical training. In connection with this, in an interview in 2000 with Jay Leno, the Terminator star described a watch auction event with a humorous twist.

Former bodybuilding champion, Schwarzenegger shared about a fundraiser which auctioned off high-priced celebrity watches to provide financial aid to inner-city children. Through the auction they made 1.5 million, which went to Muhammad Ali Youth Center and Inner City Games.

They auctioned highly priced celebrity watches, gold watches, and diamond watches. Speaking of special edition watch, he said, “was the New York edition but that of course doesn’t give you the time, it just gives you the finger.” Arnold’s spontaneity and timing to add a punch of humor are undoubtedly iconic.
