Arnold Schwarzenegger and stardom have journeyed together ever since the days of his bodybuilding career. The Austrian Oak realized the potential of his popularity and leveraged it to make a difference in millions of lives. While all these sound serious, still the action star manages to pull off a joke or two with his unmatchable sense of humor.
Even before the Governator took office as a policy maker, he made a sincere effort to support inner-city children to have access to basic education, computer training, and physical training. In connection with this, in an interview in 2000 with Jay Leno, the Terminator star described a watch auction event with a humorous twist.
Former bodybuilding champion, Schwarzenegger shared about a fundraiser which auctioned off high-priced celebrity watches to provide financial aid to inner-city children. Through the auction they made 1.5 million, which went to Muhammad Ali Youth Center and Inner City Games.

They auctioned highly priced celebrity watches, gold watches, and diamond watches. Speaking of special edition watch, he said, “was the New York edition but that of course doesn’t give you the time, it just gives you the finger.” Arnold’s spontaneity and timing to add a punch of humor are undoubtedly iconic.
Moreover, he said it was fun to raise a lot of money. While Schwarzenegger has a knack for bringing an element of lightness to serious issues, he doesn’t let it blur his vision and responsibility.

The former governor of California held the office for two terms between 2003 and 2011. Being connected with the Shriver family, Schwarzenegger learned the ground reality of issues plaguing society. Moved by the fact that a huge proportion of children in America come from households where both parents go to work, the Terminator star rolled out policies to encourage after-school learning.
They mainly comprise extracurricular activities such as music, dance, and art that interest children and keep them engaged. It is no easy feat to strike a balance between responsibility and keeping the fun spirit alive.
