Arnold Schwarzenegger has made some major transitions in his career. He has evolved from a bodybuilder to an actor and the Governor of California, to name a few. Along with transformations in real life, he also shifted from an all-action hero to a versatile actor in reel life.

Schwarzenegger made his transition by signing, Jingle All The Ways, which was released in 1996. This movie highlighted that Arnold could do more than action films by bringing out his comedic talent. Despite terrible reviews, Jingle All The Ways made a killing at the box office.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was not looking for a Christmas movie

Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed in an interview that a Christmas movie was not something he was specifically looking for. He wanted another action movie packed with the biggest guns and killings ever.

I was very heavily into the idea of doing one action movie — where we use the biggest guns and the biggest action and the biggest amount of killings and stuff like that — but then to come back with something totally opposite… The Christmas movie, Jingle All the Way, was one of those great scripts that was offered to me. I thought the world of it,” said Arnold.

What was Schwarzenegger’s movie all about?

In Jingles All The Way, Turbo Man is the new popular toy in town that every kid wanted for Christmas. Jamie was also one of them, but his father (Arnold Schwarzenegger) remained quite busy at work. Arnold waited until the last minute to buy the toy, only to discover that it was sold everywhere.

The quest to find the toy led Arnold to some crazy twists and turns. And by the movie’s end, Arnold was seen participating in a Christmas parade as the Turbo Man. The kid finally realized that his dad’s efforts in getting the toy were cooler than the toy itself.

Sadly, this was going to be the only happy-ending movie in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life for a long time. In “End of Days,” he portrayed a police officer who was seeking revenge for his wife and daughter’s murder. Similarly, in the Collateral Damage, he flew abroad to avenge the killing of his wife and son by the terrorists.
