The action hero movies that Arnold Schwarzenegger brought to the screens during the 90s and 2000s were incredible. They were a class above the rest. But, the Terminator series created the benchmark for other movies to follow. Standing at the top of the chain, he knew his worth when producers came in to negotiate a deal for Terminator 3. A real estate investor like Arnold surely navigates his way while making the best deals. He did just that with the movie!

Negotiations helped the superstar to gain remarkable benefits for his appearance. With all the specific conditions he put forward, they agreed upon those wishes, and the action took place.
They had no choice!
The franchise was a baby of Arnold, who became recognized as one of the finest action heroes of all time. Especially Terminator 2- The Judgement Day. James Cameron’s epic sci-fi action thriller hit the theaters and received resounding cheers for the screenplay and casting. With Arnold at the helm, it makes little sense for the studio to place another protagonist for the sequence. By understanding his value, Arnold appeared in the movie but laid down necessary conditions to act in the film.

The first condition was to get a handsome salary of $29.25 million for his role. He added a clause to get the payment whether or not the movie gets produced. Although it sounded weird, Arnold wanted $3 million upfront, but the rest of the sum gets paid over 19 weeks of production. Smartly, he had a clause on how he would receive an additional payment of $1.6 million every week if the movie took more time than the 19-week limit.
To sum up, that’s smart. The producers would hurry to finish the movie while Arnold used his valuable time for future projects. He wanted $1.5 million for private jet rides and a gym trailer with stocked pieces of equipment. The demands did not end there. He wanted three deluxe suits for filming locations and access to bodybuilders and limousines during the day.

Mind games ft Arnold Schwarzenegger!
During the movie Twins, he decided against a salary payment for the role but received royalties from the movie. The move turned out to be revolutionary in Hollywood as he minted money after the movie’s success. But this time, things were different. Even getting paid upfront, Arnold required 20% of the gross receipts from home video sales, movie tickets, and other licensing deals involving the movie. Having the final call in whoever came to act with him and the finer details of the movie cast, Arnold made an outstanding deal.
