Days before the release of his action-thriller, Terminator: Dark Fate, Schwarzenegger opened up about how his bonding with director James Cameron became strong. Talking about this, Schwarzenegger said, “I’ve known him since 1983. Cameron and I clicked right away. And I think it was not necessarily because of anything else other than we were both like kids and liked similar things.”

Further, he added, “We were both into knives. He knew which company made what knife. So did I. So, we talked about the difference between a hand-crafted knife and a hard-mounted knife. And swords, Samurai swords, and how they have been folded seven times.”

‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ released in November 2019. It received mixed responses from the audience and managed to collect just $261 million worldwide, reporting a loss of $122.6 million. As a result, the film became one of the biggest box-office disappointments in the Terminator saga.

Former professional bodybuilder Rick Wayne once opened up about how Arnold felt after taking up the role in ‘The Terminator’ series. Wayne visited Arnold while the latter was working on ‘Conan the Destroyer’.

Wayne went on to say, “As we sat there talking he picked up the Conan sword, which weighed a ton, and went through the moves he’d practiced.”

Further, he added, “Then he grabbed a pair of shoes and I said: ‘What are those for?’. He said: ‘Oh, some s*** movie I’m doing, take a couple of weeks.’ It was ‘The Terminator.’ That was the movie that made Arnold. For him it was just some crap film.”

Nonetheless, Arnold soon became a household name with his performances in ‘The Terminator’ franchise. He gained massive superstardom worldwide in the film fraternity.
