With just five weeks away from the first prestigious bodybuilding competition of the year, the Arnold Classic 2023, the discussions with this year’s line-up are pacing up. While many speculate that Big Ramy will avenge his Mr. Olympia 2022 defeat by securing 1st place at Arnold Classic this year, there is an underdog, Nick Walker, who is grabbing attention for the right reason. As former IFBB pro, Chris Flexatron Aceto sat to discuss the coming competition, the latter accepted his misjudgment.

Sitting for a recent podcast with Dave Palumbo, Aceto dives deeper into the upcoming Arnold Classic and shares his now-changed perspective on Nick ‘The Mutant’ Walker.

Aceto confessed honestly that he had earlier underestimated Walker’s potential in the IFBB Pro League. The 2021 winner of Arnold Classics surprised the bodybuilding community when he secured 2nd place at Mr. Olympia 2022. Having beaten Big Ramy by a considerable margin, the young bodybuilder is tipped to secure his second win this year. Transforming his body for the better, ‘The Mutant’ has forced Aceto to change his earlier perspective.

Accepting his misjudgment, Aceto remarked, “I’ve underestimated Nick Walker from the second I saw him. I remember seeing him at the North Americas. I thought, ‘what a big ugly physique.” Even though when Aceto saw Walker for the first time, he thought Nick would secure a place in the top five. Despite all, Nick failed to secure a spot on Aceto’s radar.

It was only in the following year when he won, Aceto changed his mind. Seeing his body, he then felt that he had a Fred Flintstone physique.” Over the years, Nick had been improving his aesthetics. He is working hard and is getting thicker. As Aceto remarked, “He [Nick Walker] brought a much thicker and better version of last year’s Olympia.” Seeing his journey all these years, Aceto thus thinks that Walker will be more dangerous in Ohio at the 2023 Arnold Classic. And seeing how Nick’s training these days, one can not say Aceto’s take to be wrong this time.
