Lou Ferrigno had similar anger issues to his movie character
Earlier this year, during a candid interview with Pioneers of Television, Ferrigno talked about his acting career. He also shared many stories and incidents from his “Hulk” days and recalled other memories.
The bodybuilder revealed that his real-life anger issues made him easily resonate with the Hulk’s character. “Most actors in the business you know major actors they have a lot of insecurities that relate to their childhood,” said the green superhero.
In the series and movies, the Hulk is shown as a big, angry hero who causes a lot of destruction while fighting evil. Ferrigno, who also suffered from anger issues since childhood, used his real-life experiences to bring these raw emotions on-screen.
He explained, “Myself, whole life I was the Hulk. I had a lot of anger in me so it was easy for me to relate, to release that anger, to show the sensitivity, the warmth because all this has to do with the childhood.”
Due to Ferrigno’s incredible acting skills and iconic roles in Hollywood, the bodybuilder is also regarded as a great actor.
