The Departed actor Mark Wahlberg has never been in a funk to display some of the most extreme body transformations on the sets of Hollywood. Whether it was putting on nearly 20 pounds in a matter of six weeks or losing the extra weight within the next couple of weeks for Father Stu (2021), his body has the affinity to plump and shrink like a sponge. Even today, he maintains a stunning physique at 51.  Recently, he shared a glimpse of his workout session, while flaunting his chiseled abs. 

On 28 March, Mark shared an Instagram video of him working out in his gym. The actor chose to exercise at the most unbelievable hour looking absolutely motivated and energetic.

In his latest video, Mark Wahlberg was seen working out in his gym at 4 am. The beginning of the video saw the 51-year-old actor flaunting his chiseled six-pack abs while preparing for his workout with kettlebells. Later on, he picked one of the kettlebells, and advised his fans saying, “Friends, don’t let friends skip legs.”

Post this announcement, he began his exercise by doing three to five reps. The actor shared the video, with the caption, “4 am club fit @municipal #MunicipalPartner.” The former Calvin and Klein model looked super fit as he donned a white sweatshirt and black shorts. He also wore his black gym shoes along with white weightlifting gloves.

Mark Wahlberg’s dedication to workout and entertaining his audience on the screen go hand in hand. As an actor, the man has aced the art of transforming his body for several characters he has played. At one time in 2013, the actor defied science, undergoing what seemed like an impossible transformation.

Wahlberg gained 40 lbs of muscles in 7 weeks… But how?

Wahlberg made headlines for his action/comedy movie, Pain and Gain (2013). The actor signed in for the role of a criminal bodybuilder. A fit Mark required to gain more mass for his part. The demand was that he had to go from 165 lbs to 205 lbs within a time frame of seven weeks!

Usually, bodybuilders aim to increase about 10-20 lbs a year, but Mark here took the “40 lbs in 7 weeks” as a challenge. Since he had less time to accomplish this, he worked out rigorously every day, giving his blood and sweat. He broke down his bodybuilding plan into gaining 6 lbs each week. And guess what? The actor defied the scientifically impossible goal and gained 40 lbs in time.
