Bodybuilding veteran, Mamdouh Mohammed Hassan Elssbiay aka Big Ramy’s brawny physique has earned him immense fame in the iron-pumping sphere. The Egyptian athlete has passionately worked his way to the top after his humble life back in the middle-east. He dominated the Mr. Olympia stage for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021. However, the icon stumbled down to the fifth position in 2022.

In his recent Instagram post, the 38-year-old athlete was seen flexing his graphic muscles while donning white sneakers and posing trunks. This post locked in the bodybuilding world’s attention, weeks ahead of the Arnold Classic 2023, to be held next month. Let’s find out more about the feat.

Big Ramy’s update summed up his prep work in just one-emoji caption—a flexed bicep emoji. As per the social media update, the 2x Mr. Olympia took the opportunity to tease his incredible groundwork to the world, with the advancing Arnold Classic in the first week of March. In the video, he let his humongous lats speak for themselves as the camera captured Big Ramy swanking his back and calf muscles with inspirational music tuning into the background. Ramy lived up to his characteristic build in his exhibit as every inch of his conditioning appeared flamboyant. 

Furthermore, he added in an effort to pump up his muscles in the brief snippet. Thus, blown by the 5’9” athlete’s physique, the bodybuilding world reacted to the post with a plethora of comments. They commended Elssbiay for his masterwork. One fan wrote, “Incredible Size”, while another stated, “Let’s go Champ. Show them who still has it! No one in the history of this sport has ever been like you – You are Big Ramy. You are the best.”

The majority of the fans cheered the bodybuilder and saluted his efforts to ace the Arnold Classic. However, many even implied he is all set to even ace the next Mr. Olympia. In contrast, Big Ramy recently addressed his 2022 loss in lieu of rumors by fans.

Big Ramy clarifies the alleged rumors about his loss 

As per an interview with Bodybuilding & BS, the 310-lbs star once opened up about the criticism he was facing after the 2022 Mr. Olympia. The intense judgment and rumors flew in as a consequence of his defeat in last year’s competitions. Apparently, Ramy worked out his cardio routines hours ahead of the pre-judging round. Witnessed by his competitor, Mike Van Wyck, he disclosed it in an interview thus, leading up to the speculations.

Shedding light on the issue, Ramy said, ”I don’t understand what the problem is. I always did my cardio all the time.” Additionally, he admitted to never skipping cardio since it was his forte.
