Legendary bodybuilders often carry insane stories of their bodybuilding journey. While they have worked hard toward their goal, they often have an x-factor to add to their routine. One of the primary examples of this is bodybuilding legend, Ronnie Coleman. Known for his beast-like build, Ronnie was an 8x Mr. Olympia champion. While he retired due to his back injuries, his journey through bodybuilding was a unique one.

Since he had a beast-like figure, his diet was often the talk of the town. From spending a lot of money on iHop to loading up with protein, the legend followed a special diet, which he revealed back in the day.

Ronnie Coleman revealed his insane protein intake

In an interview in 2021, Ronnie stated how he consumed insane amounts of protein back in 2005 when he was in his prime. His shakes had comically large scoops of protein powder. But that wouldn’t satisfy the beast. He followed a diet rich in carbohydrates and protein to build up. Given that he weighed over 300lbs at that time, his appetite was huge. But all of this paid off during workout sessions. His enormous form and defined muscles made him a reigning champion.

Ronnie Coleman was dedicated to his profession. This was to the extent of pushing himself at every level. Whether he had to lift more or perform more reps, the champion stretched himself to his fullest. In fact, it grew slightly concerning when in 2004 he weighed around 330 lbs. The judges at the 2004 Mr. Olympia had even suggested cutting down a little bit.
