But Lou’s journey to glory was not easy. He did not only have his professional battles to fight; he also had health issues that he had to deal with since he was a child. The veteran actor had to wait a long time before he could go for the ear procedure. But since it’s been done, his life has changed for the better. He sat down with Inside Edition to share his life-changing experience.
Lou Ferrigno shares his experience
Since childhood, Lou had to struggle with his hearing impairment. After he suffered from an ear infection as a toddler, he was left with significant hearing loss. Throughout his growing-up years, he struggled with a hearing aid. Not many may be aware, but he lost 85% of his hearing because of nerve damage.
After struggling in his early years, Lou eventually underwent cochlear implant surgery. He was looking to improve his hearing ability. However, unlike other times, this time, Lou got satisfactory results. While the hearing aid helped to increase the volume, the cochlear implant changed his hearing experience for the best.

And now that the outcomes are good, the Hulk actor couldn’t be more pleased.
