Now, being consistent in every profession obviously causes burnout and vexation in an individual. But not Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

The former Governor of California recently pulled off the curtains from a valuable counsel about handling close public scrutiny and the pressure that comes with it. The Terminator shared several tidbits about keeping in check the anger and irks that sometimes make you the subject of the headlines.

In the recent installment of his newsletter, the Pump Daily, the 75-year-old addressed a series of questions asked by his fandom. One fan was intrigued about how the bodybuilder keeps his calm and remains poised despite managing multiple tasks simultaneously. He asked the Terminator, “I don’t want to be apathetic to new experiences and still enjoy life as an older man like you. Basically, how do you avoid becoming a grumpy old man?

Following this, the Austrian Oak answered by sharing an important life lesson. The 75-year-old stated, “There are a lot of people who get rich from your anger. Starve them.” In his counsel, Schwarzenegger revealed the golden rule that he follows extensively. “Here’s my rule: spread positivity whenever I can, and if I want to complain, first I see what I can do”.

He further explained, “I hate just talking. I say to myself, ‘Can you help fix this? No? Then shut up about it, the world has enough useless negativity.'” It indeed was one valuable piece of advice from someone who already achieved global recognition through his incredible finesse of keeping his cool in any situation.

Interestingly, while sharing his thumb rule of staying in control in displeasing circumstances, the icon also shared his perspective on dealing with internet trolls.

The Austrian’s way of dealing with the Internet’s scrutiny

Today, the internet has become a vast trove of information. From major life updates about celebrities to a hoard full of trolls, the digital realm simultaneously harbors veracity and sham about prominent public figures. While it is easier to handle pertinent information, it often becomes tedious for celebs to manage trolls and rumors surrounding them. However, the Austrian has a perfect answer to the situation. “I think I stay full of joy because I don’t go finding things to get mad about”, asserted the bodybuilder.

The Terminator then conceded, “Today everybody is on social media looking for a reason to be mad. I don’t fall for that trap”. Clearly, Arnold Schwarzenegger has done a great job balancing his multiple vocations while keeping his poised persona in check.
