

The bodybuilding stage has several legends. While many have retired from the sport after leaving behind a rich legacy. There are many who are still in the race and have many expectations. One such container for this year’s Mr. Olympia title is none other than Mamdouh Elssbiay, aka Big Ramy. With eyes glued on him ahead of the competition, retired bodybuilder Jay Cutler had a lot to say about him.

Back at the 2013 Mr. Olympia, when Jay Cutler made his comeback, and finished ahead of Big Ramy, who finished in eighth place, to place sixth, he hardly had any clue that down the lane, he will shower him with praise.
Jay Cutler praised Big Ramy
When Cutler sat down for a talk with Fitness Volt, he had much to say about the 2022 defending Champion of Mr. Olympia. Expressing himself, the retired bodybuilder said, “I don’t know anything about his nutrition, but I would say the guy is a genetic wonder where it doesn’t take a lot of calories for him to be as big as he is.”

Cutler further stated that Ramy was not always taking his diet as seriously as he should. Not only that, but it makes a nutritionist’s job difficult simply because of how his body processes food. He also talked about the general notion that people have wherein one believes that people with a big physique generally have a bigger appetite. Sharing his view, he added, “I would think that the guy probably has to eat a lot fewer calories than I ever had to dial down.”
Speaking further, he added how a man can perform three hours of cardio each day, but perhaps that won’t be effective. He thought that Big Ramy maybe adhered to a low-carb diet. However, he also acknowledged that this can be challenging at times because the body can occasionally try to burn off the remaining body fat.

Big Ramy: The defending Champion for 2022, Mr. Olympia
When Big Ramy started going to the Oxygen Gym, in Kuwait, he first came into the public eye. Big Ramy decided to attend because the gym had a long list of champions coming to Kuwait. He had no clue that his decision would eventually alter his life’s course forever.

In 2013, Mamdouh Elssbiay made his professional debut. Turning heads, he eventually went on to win the New York Pro Event. His road to success was never easy. He had to work hard to finally win his dream title of Mr. Olympia in 2020. During his journey, he faced a lot of negativity, but despite all this, he kept believing in himself. With hard work, he earned himself the title of- Big Ramy!
