Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek surprised the bodybuilding world by generating a lot of buzz after qualifying for this year’s Mr. Olympia contest in late October. While many bodybuilders might work with lighter weights to polish their physique before a contest, ‘Krizo’ is doing the exact opposite. On December 8, he uploaded a YouTube video, showing off his killer chest workout.
Michal ‘Krizo’ Krizanek’s killer chest workout
IFBB pro Michal Krizanek began his chest day with the inclined barbell bench press. He started with heavy weights and did three sets, shedding some weight from the bar with each rep. ‘Krizo’ proceeded to take a short rest before moving on to the next exercise.
The next movement on the list was the dumbbell bench press. The Slovakian bodybuilder picked up some heavy dumbbells before busting out at least 14 reps in the first set. He didn’t compromise on the range of motion and went deep with each repetition. After finishing the exercise, ‘Krizo’ walked over to the cable fly machine.

Krizanek didn’t dial down the intensity as he began performing high-to-low cable chest flies. After completing over ten reps on the chest fly machine, the Slovakian bodybuilder looked out of breath. That didn’t stop him from taking on more as he hopped onto the chest press machine.

While on the chest press, Krizanek performed over 15 reps of which he completed three sets. Finally, ‘Krizo’ moved to the last exercise of his chest day, which was a variation of the high-to-low chest fly.
Bodybuilding icon Jay Cutler backed Michal Krizanek to do big things
Bodybuilding legend Jay Cutler visited Gold’s Gym in July. As the four-time Mr. Olympia winner watched ‘Krizo’ hit the mandatory poses, he said, “That kid’s going to do some damage, man.” He also predicted that ‘Krizo’ would win the then-upcoming Prague Pro.

The former Mr. Olympia was spot on with his prediction as ‘Krizo’ won the Prague pro and earned his spot in the upcoming Mr. Olympia. While many point to Krizanek’s back as a weak point, Cutler argued, “It not that bad,” and made a point about his balanced physique.
