Schwarzenegger has a vying sense of humor and spontaneity that adds to his claim to fame. While the host indulged him in a casual chat about his latest political achievements, marriage, and more, he cleverly maneuvered the conversation to the days when Arnold Schwarzenegger had a whirlwind of romances and dating indulgences.
“Did you ever go on a blind-dates?”, Leno asked. Moreover, he said, “I have a reason for asking this. I want you to think carefully.” Bold and unfazed, Schwarzenegger replied, “Thinking back, I always hated blind dates. I don’t think I ever went on a blind-date. No, no, no. It’s not my style.”
Upon disagreement, Jay Leno shared a video featuring his guest in the 70s with a blind date. The former candidly joked about how one can’t “erase” the past, referring to his cast presence in the movie, Eraser. The flashback video from 1973 showed Arnold Schwarzenegger, in the company of his then-date. He talked about an American expression called “hanky panky” that he didn’t understand, despite living in the U.S. for five years already.

The Austrian Oak, who moved to the US over five decades ago, still has the slang. He also confessed he could speak perfect English, but stuck to Austria slang as he identified with it. Opening up on how it became his strength and identity, he said fans expect it from him.
“It’s now become such a big part of me, the accent, that people really enjoy it,” he said. His accent, which was once construed as his biggest drawback, became his trademark. This is a testimony to the magnitude of his greatness.
