“Couldn’t Believe My Eyes”: BMX Rider Performs a Gravity-Defying Stunt in One of the Most Daring Feats, Leaving Fans Shocked

Imagine being 2000 feet in the air, a hot air balloon rising to a higher altitude every moment, and in there, a skatepark placed to perform stunts on a bike. This has been the dream of Red Bull athlete Kriss Kyle for a long time. Kyle, a BMX stunt rider, recently performed some mind-bending stunts on a hot air balloon, pushing his fears to the ultimate limit. On social media, fans are losing their mind.

Kriss Kyle is a Scottish BMX ripper who started riding a BMX bike at age 10. The dream that began in his hometown of Stranraer, Scotland, has eventually pushed him far enough to perform his dream stunt at a cruising altitude.

Red Bull BMX stunt athlete fulfills his long-aspired dream

A Facebook post by STV News read, “A BMX stunt performer from Stranraer has performed one of his most daring feats yet, in a skatepark suspended from one of the world’s largest operating hot air balloons”. That this has been Kyle’s one of most daring stunts ever, is a completely fair assessment. However, the altitude has always been a big concern for the Scottish ripper.

In a video shared by Red Bull Bike on YouTube, Kyle said, “Never would’ve dreamt in a million years that I’d be getting to do the projects that I get to do. And this one’s the wildest one’s yet”. And wild it was. As scary as the ordeal was for Kyle, one couldn’t help but notice the beauty that surrounded him. The giant Red Bull balloon was floating around in the backdrop of scenic, lush natural surroundings.

Meanwhile, Kyle performed his stunts, literally pushing himself to the edge of his fear. The balloon kept rising until it was last heard to reach 2100 feet. Certain moments were particularly heart-stopping for the viewers when Kyle’s BMX bike touched the corners of the skatepark on the balloon.

Fans were equally shocked

Some of the viewers, who almost couldn’t believe their eyes, further posted their comments under the Facebook post. Here they are:

Finally, after successfully finishing his arduous task, Kyle and his team got down the hot air balloon. They landed on what looked like a wide pasture land, and the cheer that followed was infectious. BMX was also part of the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and this daring sport will return for next year’s Paris Olympics.
