

Winter Olympics 2022 are finally over. While for some players it was the best experience ever, for some it was a terrible nightmare. For the two times Olympic gold medalists, Mikaela Shiffrin Beijing Winter Olympics was nothing short of a bad dream. The American skier went to the Olympics as the top favorite for gold and returned home without a medal.

However, despite the setbacks, Mikaela has shown great courage, and she proved that her love for skiing is above all other individual achievements. The way she carried herself throughout the Olympics against all the disappointments shows her strength as a player and her remarkable sportsmanship.

Simone Biles sends her love to Mikaela Shiffrin
The tragic results for Mikaela Shiffrin in Beijing Winter Olympics brought back memories of the Tokyo Olympics for the American gymnast Simone Biles. The four-time Olympic gold medalist, Simone, said, “I honestly didn’t watch much at all tbh (Beijing Winter Olympics), I watched Mikaela Shiffrin and some others. Sending her all the love.”

She further added, “Olympics can be brutal, so many expectations, it’s hard when it doesn’t go the way we want and to have media on top that picking their own narrative for us is…… well shi**y. Lowkey traumatizes me and I relived it. that was painful.”
It seems that she could relate to Mikaela’s current situation and showed her support for the American skier.

What happened to Simone at Tokyo Olympics?
The 24-year-old Olympic champion Simone withdrew her name from the final team event at Tokyo Olympics after she slipped during a vault attempt. According to Simone, ?She had been struggling with the stress of being the greatest gymnast in history, and outside expectations were just too hard to combat.?

After she pulled out from the finals, team USA secured a silver medal in the event and Simone broke into tears. However, she did the thing she felt right at the moment, and she was strong enough to accept it.
