It’s true that his dreams were shattered in the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022, but he is someone who would not give up so soon. His love for figure skating is unparalleled, and he still wishes to be the best at his sport.

The champion skater failed at winning the third consecutive Olympic gold in Beijing. Furthermore, he couldn’t achieve his dream of performing a perfect quad axel, but he has not given up on his dream of landing the 4A. Perhaps we may see a perfect 4A jump from the Japanese in the future.

He said, “So the question was whether these Olympic Games will be my last Olympic Games or not. I think my answer is I don’t know. I came to the Olympic games and I felt once again that the Olympics are so special.”

But as Yuzuru Hanyu, I am going to cherish figure skating which Yuzuru Hanyu loves and continue to strive to master the sport.”
