Aleksander Kilde is also a Junior World giant slalom champion. Kilde took to skiing at six years old. It was only natural, considering his family grew up next to a ski hill, and he ended up following after his elder brother Andreas.
However, he wasn’t always just a ski racer. Not many people know that Aleksander Aamodt Kilde also used to play football. But, after realizing he needed to focus on just one sport, he chose alpine skiing.
He is a World Champion in his own right, having won the 2019-20 World Cup over title.

Initially, there was certainly some lack of understanding, as Mikaela had thought she was being playful. On the other hand, Kilde understood it as a rejection.
Nevertheless, the two remained amicable toward each other. Sadly, in 2021, Mikaela Shiffrin lost her father, and at the same time, Kilde suffered from a season-ending injury.
Thus, the two began bonding over the difficult time in their lives. Shiffrin shared that Kilde reached out to her with a nice and supportive message for her family after she returned to the sport following her father’s demise. “This time, we just never stopped chatting,” Mikaela said.

However, it isn’t simply all roses for the couple, as their skiing schedules are quite unforgiving. Shiffrin stated that both of them often go in different directions across the world.
Nevertheless, even thousands of miles apart, the two manage to do the best they can. They understand each other’s engagements and commitments, which makes it easier for the couple even during their time apart, as per Mikaela Shiffrin.
