WATCH: US Olympian Alexander Hall Clinches Golden Victory With a Huge Lead at Beijing Winter Olympics 2022

The 23-year-old Alexander Hall has been knocking down doors in recent World Championships and X Games competitions. But after winning a silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games in 2016, Hall has now done the unthinkable. Young Hall has just won the gold medal in the men’s Freeski slopestyle competition while scoring 90.01 in his first run at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

With a score of 90+, he dominated the field and took home his first gold medal. In a run that included tricks and jumps, Hall looked delighted and so did fans.

Alexander Hall makes a sensational run

After winning the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships, Hall’s determination and perseverance fetched him the gold in Beijing. The University of Utah student displayed his whole array of skills in the first of three runs. He started with a switch 270 grind on the rail section, a huge double cork 1620 leading to a pull-back 900 on the jump section. The tricks just kept coming, with perfect landings to complement the same.

After that, he landed a double cork 1080 in midair and landed backward, and finished the run by skiing down the slope. Emotions were pouring down as he knew he landed the gold medal in that first run. With smooth transitions in between a series of remarkable tricks, Hall completed his run and won his first-ever Olympic gold medal.

Top spots for Team USA

Not only did Hall fetch an Olympic medal, but his teammate, Nick Goepper, also won the silver medal with a score of 86.48 on his second run. This was the third Olympic medal in his career as the duo held their national flags on their backs after the victory. Meanwhile, the bronze medal went to Sweden’s Jesper Tj?der, who put on a score of 85.35.
