The Beijing Winter Olympics have now entered its last week. As athletes from around the world came for Olympic glory, many returned unhappily. However, decorated American snowboarder, Shaun White, despite not winning a medal this time, has had a beautiful exit.
White had announced that this would be his final time snowboarding, as he had decided to retire from the sport after the 2022 Olympics. Now, Shaun White will also not be attending the finishing ceremony, as he left for the USA a week before the Olympics ended.
Shaun White dramatically leaves for home from Beijing

Shaun White, after a final stint at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, has said goodbye to his snowboarding career. However, that is not the only thing White is saying goodbye to.
Today, he took to Instagram to post an Instagram Reel, announcing his exit from Beijing to fly home to the USA. The reel is certainly hilarious, with the three-time Olympic gold medalist playing around with his luggage cart at the airport.

Moreover, he also played the popular song ‘Goodbye My Lover’ by James Blunt as he bid adieu to his last Olympics. “Goodbye, I’ll be home soon,” he wrote, next to an emoji of an American flag.

In the video, the 35-year-old is sitting atop his luggage and then shows himself dragging along the floor next to the cart. Furthermore, there are a variety of hilarious and ludicrous poses he strikes in the video.
Clearly, even though he will be missing the final ceremony at the Winter Olympics, White is excited to be going back home.
White reunites with girlfriend Nina Dobrev for the Super Bowl
White’s hurry to return home is quite understandable. After all, it was the Super Bowl! White reunited with his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, as they wore matching jerseys for the Super Bowl.
Posting pictures of the same on his Instagram story, White twinned with Dobrev as they watched the final match between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. Moreover, it was quite a rewarding return for White, as he saw the Rams win against the Bengals 23-20.

Dobrev and Shaun White had LA Rams jerseys for themselves, with ‘White’ and ‘Dobrev’ written on the back of their custom jerseys.

Understandably, White is thrilled to be back home and ready to begin a new chapter in his life after hanging up his snowboarding gloves for good.
