After winning his first Olympic gold in figure skating, he has enlisted himself amongst the American sports heroes. The 22-year skater was the best skater in the competition and defeated his arch rival Yuzuru Hanyu of the Japan in the finals. Now the Olympic champion is busy giving interviews and making appearances in the talk shows.

Nathan Chen teaches Jimmy Fallon how to do an axel jump

Nathan Chen recently visited the Jimmy Fallon show wearing his Olympic gold medal and shared his Olympic experience. The host Jimmy cleverly drafted his questions in such a way that it made Chen to teach him a couple of moves. Jimmy began by asking, “how many jumps are there in figure skating?” after that “can you do any of the jumps when you’re not wearing skates?” and then finally came the actual question, “would you be able to do a jump on our show?”

The Olympic champion politely showcased an easy-looking axel jump. Making the host, Jimmy join him in his brief performance; as the crowd roared in claps and cheers. After a failed attempt, Jimmy picked up the gold medal and hand it over to Nathan, saying, “Here, you deserve this more than I do.”

American wins his first Olympic gold

The 22-year-old American skater was the favorite for the gold, going into the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, but the competition was not easy for him. His arch rival and the two-time Olympic gold medalist, Yuzuru Hanyu, was also amongst the top favorite. However, on the game day, Nathan was the better skater than every single player taking part in the men’s figure skating short program.

He showcased an incredible performance and brought home the gold. That made his country, friends, family and all the fans proud of the champion. The world eagerly awaits to watch the champion on the ice, soon.
