The sensational Nathan Chen finally achieved his Olympic dream. He won the gold medal in the figure skating competition, ending his wait for an Olympic medal. The bronze medal victory at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics was not good enough. Thus, he worked hard and claimed his first gold medal, and achieved his lifelong goal.

With all the sacrifices he went through, struggled in humble surroundings, finding ways to hone his craft. That led him to find help from his coach as he shared what he did during those days. A remarkable campaign for Chen, proving hard work will always prevail.

Nathan Chen opens up on early struggles
To become a successful figure skater, Chen moved to California with his mother to train with his famous coach. Arutyunyan coached him to become an outstanding figure skater, but the path to success was not easy. He revealed how Chen found it hard to pay money but somehow paid his coach and got those lessons. He then revealed how he used to give it back, in spite of, Chen slipping the money back into his pocket.
“At a certain point, he said, ‘I don?t really need that, I just want to help you and help you achieve the goals that you want,'” said Arutyunyan.

From there, he and his mother struggled hard to help him become the figure skater he is right now. Chen’s dominance in the events was incredible to watch as he won his first-ever Olympics gold medal. All the struggles and pain were finally done with him winning with a sensational performance.

Moreover, he followed that with a fluidic and energetic performance in the long program to provide no surprises in the competition. After all the struggles, Chen finally achieved his life-long dream. Hence, the figure skater showed the world why he is regarded as the best in the world.
